How to choose the correct fittings for your Tractor

Hitches are specific to the category of your tractor, and are not interchangeable.
A Category 1 tractor uses a Category 1 hitch and so on. Explanation of the Category system is in a table below

Tractors are classed in 5 separate groups - called categories.
This is a very old standard measure defined by Massey Ferguson in the 1920s. The measurements are in imperial units.
As imperial measures [inches etc] are not used in Australia, we have the metric shown as well, for ease of understanding.

A Cat 0 is a very small lawn tractor. There is no Pat's hitch for a lawn tractor.
A Cat 4 Tractor is a huge broadacre tractor and these tractors are made with different hitches for implements.
There are no Pat's hitches for these tractors.

Currently Pat's Easy Change Hitch comes in 3 sizes: Cat 1, Cat 2 & Cat 3

Please be aware:
To find the Category of your tractor you simply need to measure the diameter of either the pin that you use to attach implements to the lower lift arms, or [even easier] measure the diameter of the hole the pin goes through on the lift arm.

Please note that any hitches or accessories are made for specific pin/ball end sizes and are not interchangeable

There are a few tractors that have a swivel ball with both Cat 1 & Cat 2 holes in them.
If your ball end has this type of swivel ball then you will need a Cat 2 hitch. This is due to the width of this particular ball-end

Pat's Easy Change Hitch comes in 2 styles.

1. The Easy Change model which is removable
   We recommend this one as it gives you the most flexibility of use for your tractor
   
2. The Weld-on which is welded and is recommended for lift arms where
   #  the ball-end is compromised, and you wish to remove it,
   #  you want to add length onto your lift arm without replacing the lift arm
   #  we also have clients who have purchased the weld-on hitches as a hitch for front end loaders - to be welded in the front of your tractor
